| - In May, 2008, Kira Spoo and Lutie Rodriguez went to Guatemala on a mission trip with a group from First Baptist Church, Tulsa .
- The purpose of this trip was to provide medical help for the poor people in Guatemala City and in the mountains by Lake Atitlan.
- Before the mission trip, Kira had the idea of having a “Flip Flop Sunday”.
- Everyone in their church wore flip flops one Sunday, then, left them at the alter for the people in Guatemala.
- They saw sick children who were unable to get the help they needed to get well.
- They need the love of Christ.
