Directions to CrossTimbers
From I-40 at Henryetta, go south on the Indian Nation Turnpike to the first McAlester
exit. Exit and go east on Highway 270 (about 4 miles) to McAlester.
As you enter McAlester, turn left (north) on West Street. Drive (the first street as you
enter the city- E-Z Mart on north side).
Go north to Electric Street (less than a mile). Turn right (east) on Electric.
Go to the first intersection. Turn left (north) on D Street.
Continue on D Street to the next intersection. Continue straight and the street name
changes to Talawanda (it will curve a

Continue about 4 miles to a narrow/ one-way bridge. (After the bridge, there is a
large Y intersection in the road. Stay right. A camp sign is posted to help.)
About 2½ miles past the bridge the road curves right (east). Do not follow the curve.
Go straight (north) for a short distance. There is a CrossTimbers sign posted.
Turn left (west) on Camp Hudgins Road to the campground entrance.
Go through the gate, turn immediately left and drive up the hill.
Register at the first building on your right, Pennington Lodge (camp office).
