¾ ( I arrived early!
    ¾ ( I am playing quiet music in the room to keep a calm atmosphere.
     
    I prepared the room:
    ¾ ( Electrical outlets are covered.
    ¾ ( Electrical cords are out of the preschoolers' reach.
    ¾ ( The floor is clean (I have been on the floor to check it form a child's perspective.)
    ¾ ( I removed unnecessary furnishings and supplies from the room.
    ¾ ( I placed padding on any sharp corners and edges.
    ¾ ( I removed poisonous plants and placed nonpoisonous live plants out of the children's reach.
    ¾ ( I equipped low cabinet doors with safety latches.
    ¾ ( I secured the cords from window coverings out of children's reach.

    ¾ ( I examined all equipment for sharp edges, broken pieces, or small parts that could choke a child.

    ¾ ( I removed all nonwashable toys from the room.

    ¾ ( I wiped the toys and other appropriate surfaces with a disinfecting solution (1/4 cup bleach to one-gallon water).

    ¾ ( I have a place to store the preschoolers' belongings.
    ¾ ( The temperature of the room is comfortable.
    ¾ ( The room has a pleasant aroma.
     
    I gathered necessary supplies:

    ¾ ( Masking tape and a felt-tipped marker for masking name tags for preschoolers and their belongings

    ¾ ( Pens or pencils for parents
    ¾ ( Sign-in sheet
    ¾ ( Early Bible Steps pupil take-home pages
    ¾ ( Materials for the security system my church uses
    ¾ ( Disinfecting solution for cleaning before, during, and after the session
    ¾ ( Supplies for washing hands
    ¾ ( Extra sheets, blankets, and smocks
    ¾ ( Suggested teaching materials as described in Bible Teaching for 1's and 2's Leader Guide
     
    I prepared myself:

    ¾ ( I have studied the Personal Bible Study for this session and have been transformed by the message.

    ¾ ( I reviewed the centers under Encounter for today's session.
    ¾ ( I planned for the session with my fellow teachers.
    ¾ ( I asked God's guidance and blessing on the preschoolers, my fellow teachers and myself.
    ¾ ( I washed my hands with water and antibacterial soap.

    ¾ ( I have a smile on my face and am ready to share God's love with preschoolers and their families.

    ¾ ( I am on my knees by the door waiting for the arrival of the first child.
