VOCAL
 

 
1. Prepare and sing a selection of the applicant's choosing.
2. Sing his/her voice part from a familiar hymn to be chosen by the All-State auditioning panel.
3. Sight-read the melody line of a new hymn.
4. Be prepared to go through some vocal exercises to determine range.

Instrumental
 

1. Play an eighth note 2 octave chromatic scale starting on Concert B-flat
(* = 120). Tongue – ascending; Slur – descending.
 
2. Prepare an Etude displaying articulations, dynamics and technique. If you are participating in OMEA All-State, any etude of theirs is acceptable.
3. Be prepared to sight-read a short exercise at the audition site.

NOTE: You may audition for both vocal and instrumental positions, if you wish. However, you will be selected to participate as either one or the other but not both, so be sure to indicate your preference. We will try to honor your preference, but due to vocal or instrumental needs we may assign you to an area other than your preference.

Audition Results
 

All Vocal and Instrumental auditions will receive notification by mail of their audition results. Upon receiving notice of acceptance, All-Staters will need to:

1. Acknowledge acceptance by immediately returning the completed Registration Form
2. Submit a deposit and Registration Coupon to Travelink. All payments for the tour should be made directly to Travelink, Inc.
3. Provide their own travel to and from the Oklahoma City area for the:
 
· Pre-Tour Rehearsal and Orientation in May 2008,
· Tour Departure on June 4, 2008,
· Tour Return on June 13, 2008,
· And the Reunion Concert at Church Music Oklahoma on August 2, 2008.
